A customer portal with enriched data
In cooperation with our friends from ComputerDoc, we’ve build a cloud platform that processes data from the leading communication system in the automotive industry and shapes it into useful management information. Dutch leasing companies, which are the main customers of EGRA Consulting, are provided with user accounts for EGRAnet that enable them to easily generate different type of reports, containing enriched supplier data, service requests, tire replacement data and more. EGRA Consulting is now able to deliver these real-time pre-programmed reports by enriching them online, and generate specific custom reports based on data from the system.
A bit more about the underlaying technology
We’ve created a database that is optimised for large data sets, such as the current one that already holds millions of records at the time of publishing, and growing. We’ve achieved an average of 97% saving on storage. The platform’s interface is – of course – a platform independent Laravel web application with focus a on a meaningful and pleasant user experience (UX- and UI-design). We’ve designed overview pages with aggregated data and diagrams in order to present it at a glance. However, many of the actual processing is handled in the background, which involves XML-parsing, data-enrichment and preparation of report sets. It is all bundled into a future-proof package that allows for growth in both database size and functionality, yet ensuring flexibility.
